Which driveway surface is best?+
Tarmac is practical and efficient, resin bound offers a refined seamless finish, and block paving provides the greatest design flexibility. The right choice depends on your property, maintenance preferences, drainage and budget.
Do you handle the ground preparation?+
Yes. Excavation, spoil removal, sub-base construction, compaction, levels, edges and drainage can all be included, giving you one accountable team from preparation to finish.

We are based around the Colne and Pendle area and regularly cover Nelson, Burnley, Barnoldswick, Earby, Trawden, Foulridge and Skipton, as well as nearby locations.
Can you improve drainage at the same time?+
Yes. Drainage should be considered before the new surface goes down. Depending on the site, solutions may include corrected falls, channel drains, gullies, permeable construction or soakaway work.
Do I need planning permission for a new driveway?+
Planning requirements depend on the surface, drainage arrangement, size, access and property constraints. Permeable surfacing or drainage within the property may be required for front gardens. We flag practical considerations, but planning confirmation should come from the relevant local authority.
How deep should a driveway sub-base be?+
There is no responsible single answer for every site. Required excavation and construction depend on ground bearing, vehicle loading, existing material and the chosen surface. We specify the build-up after inspection.
Can you widen an existing driveway?+
Often, yes. We can assess boundary details, levels, kerbs, access and the way the extension will join the existing surface. Work affecting a pavement or vehicle crossing may require separate permission or an approved contractor.
When can I use a new driveway?+
This varies by material and weather. We provide specific handover advice for the installed surface, including any curing or settling period before parking vehicles.
Do you install patios and paths too?+
Yes. We install porcelain, natural-stone and concrete paved areas, along with paths, steps, hard landscaping and related drainage.
